Introduction to Copper Ore

Each type of ore requires distinct processing techniques to extract pure copper metal. Pakistan is known to have substantial reserves of copper ore, particularly in regions like Balochistan, which hosts one of the largest undeveloped copper deposits in the world.

Pakistan has abundant copper ore deposits, particularly in Balochistan, which hosts significant reserves of both sulphide and oxide ores. Sulphide ore deposits, such as those found in the Saindak and Reko Diq projects, are of great economic importance due to their high copper content. Oxide ore deposits, while less abundant, are also present in these regions and require different processing techniques for copper extraction.
